Legislative Luncheon 2020 RSVP

Welcome to our first event of 2020.

This is our opportunity to meet with the Legislators, old and new, in a relaxed environment prior to the Legislative Session which begins on January 8.  Discussion will revolve around the Legislative Priorities of the Maryland League of Women Voters (more information on the priorities in next month’s Voter) and audience questions. 

This will be year of great change in Annapolis as we have a new Speaker of the House, Adrienne Jones of Baltimore County’s 10^th District.  There will also be a new President of the Senate, probably Senator William C. Ferguson of Baltimore City.  Election for President of the Senate will take place the first day of the session.   Senator Thomas V. (Mike) Miller has served as the president for 32 years.       

Bring a friend and spend a couple of hours with your Legislators on Saturday, January 4 at noon at the Woodbrook Baptist Church.   So that we can adequately plan for lunch, please go online or call the office (410-377-8046) to RSVP and also to let us know if you would like to bring a salad or dessert. Guests are most welcome.
