As part of League of Women Voters 100th anniversary, we recognize Speaker Adrienne A. Jones, the first woman in history to hold this position in the Maryland House of Delegates. Running for public office after gaining experience with Baltimore County government and volunteering on political campaigns, she has been involved in the state legislature since 1997. Her focus area while serving Maryland is quality education. She is passionate about a strong, world-class public-school system. In this session, she introduced a legislative bill that would be the largest one-time school construction investment in Maryland’s history.
