Election Heroes
Today, April 12, we thank election workers.
Americans across race, place and party believe in the freedom to decide for ourselves who represents us. In the face of a pandemic and barriers erected to silence our voices, Americans have turned out in record numbers to cast our ballots to have our voices heard.
Voting in elections is how we, the people, have a say in the decisions that impact our lives - from the jobs in our communities to the healthcare we have access to. Election workers are essential frontline workers that support our communities. Our democracy depends on them. They ensure that we are able to cast our votes safely and they work overtime to ensure that every vote is counted accurately.
Let's come together today to thank our election workers. Let them know how grateful we are that they count every vote and protect our freedom to vote. Help publicly thank election officials and show them that the public is with them despite attacks from extremists. Post on social media, tweet #ElectionHeroes, email your election officials, send a card or postcard to officials. Find your election officials here, https://www.fvap.gov/search-offices.
Make today a day of thanks. Thank you Election Heroes!
