County Council Budget Meetings
FISCAL YEAR 2026 BUDGET TOWN HALL MEETINGS
Every year, prior to submitting the budget to the County Council for approval, the County Executive hosts town hall meetings in every Council District in order to provide community members an opportunity to provide input into the budget planning process.
Each town hall event will be held in two, equally timed parts:
- 6 to 7 p.m. Community Cabinet Open House: Baltimore County departments will host individual tables where residents are able to engage directly department leadership about individual issues and concerns, learn about resources, and share suggestions.
- 7 to 8 p.m. FY2026 Budget Presentation: Attendees will learn about the county’s budget process and share priorities with Baltimore County Executive Klausmeier and senior leadership.
The meetings will be held in-person and livestreamed on Baltimore County Government's YouTube page. Closed captioning and translation services are available on YouTube.
After the County Executive’s budget presentation, attendees are invited to share their ideas and priorities for consideration for Baltimore County's FY26 budget. As these events are well attended and time is limited, speakers are limited to 90 seconds and participants with similar requests are encouraged to present their priorities together.
Those unable to provide their testimony in-person by the end of their district’s Town Hall may still submit requests for consideration by emailing [email protected].
New Baltimore County Councilmanic District Hearing February 20, 2025
The new Baltimore County Council District lines will affect the County, its communities, and whether our elected officials will reflect who we are for the next 6 years.
In 2021, six alternative maps—drawn by ACLU, Baltimore County NAACP, and Indivisible Towson (now Indivisible Baltimore County)—illustrated six different ways to create more representative districts. In 2025, multiple maps and strategies will be evaluated to ensure compliance with federal law and adherence to County Charter requirements. These requirements include creating districts that are compact, contiguous, substantially equal in population, and respectful of natural, geographic, and community boundaries to the degree possible.
The Public Hearing will be held Thursday, 6pm, Feb. 20, 2025 in the County Council Chambers in the Historic Courthouse, 400 Washington Ave, Towson, MD 21204
