CheckerSpot is our Maryland butterfly. ChapterSpot is connected to your LWV membership.

Dues Payments:
On February 3, 2025, LWV initiated ChapterSpot, a new process to join or renew. Now memberships are maintained at the national level, LWVUS, and members can log in on the portal to join, renew, or update records.  Renewal reminders will be sent from LWV.

Keep in mind that dues are paid to LWVUS then delivered to LWVMD and LWV Baltimore County by percentage of your payment. If you include a donation, the donation will be sent to all levels in those same percentages. After paying online you will receive an online confirmation and an email receipt for your payment. Your membership dues payment will show up as three transactions on your account — one each to local, LWV Baltimore County, state, LWVMD, and LWVUS. You’ll still be a member of all three!

Checks may still be used for member dues, but they should be payable to LWVUS and sent to our office. Our website has a form to include.

Donations: 
Making donations differs depending on your intent.  If you wish to donate only to LWV Baltimore County, a 501(c3) organization, please use our website DONATE page or send a check and explanation to our office. All these donations are 100% tax deductible. The process for donating to LWVUS or LWVMD is described on their websites.

The Portal:
It's easy to log into the LWV Portal to check on your membership information. Use your email at https://portal.lwv.org/membership. If you have issues with your information, please contact our office.
