County Council Redistricting meetings

With Baltimore County’s growing population and the results of the last Council election, the structure of our County Council will change dramatically; we've gone from seven to nine members. Now comes the daunting task of redistricting.

As League members and supporters of the Federal Voting Rights Act we are aware of the implications of gerrymandering and separating communities to diminish their vote.

Join the next Redistricting Commission meeting on Wednesday, May 19, 6 pm. On the agenda is the Brennan Center for Justice, a nonpartisan law and policy institute, to discuss the Federal Voting Rights Act.
